Marquette – The Marquette County Conservation District will host a free tree planting workshop on Tuesday, March 16 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the district’s office at 780 Commerce Drive, Suite B, in Marquette Township.
Natural Resources Conservation Service and conservation district staff will answer questions on tree planting for windbreaks, reforestation and attracting wildlife.
Also, orders are being taken for this year’s tree sale; catalogs are available at the district office, Lakeview Arena, the Marquette Food Co-op, Peter White Public Library, the Michigan DNRE office, Lake Superior Community Partnership, the Marquette Board of Light and Power and the YMCA.
