Marquette – AARP volunteer Kathy Lakanen and a team of trained assistants will offer assistance with state and federal income taxes to senior citizens age 60 and older on Wednesday, February 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Marquette Senior Center, 300 W. Spring Street in Marquette.
Items needed at the appointment include: Social Security card; 1099R forms, retirement or annuity; W-2 Forms (work); Unemployment Compensation Statement; SSA-1099, Social Security or Railroad Retirement statement; statements of miscellaneous income; all 1099 forms; statements of interest paid; dividends; stocks information; all forms showing federal income tax withheld (only if itemizing); all receipts or canceled checks; bank information for refund; heating bills; rent payment information; real estate taxes; amount of last year’s rebate; copy of 2008 income taxes.
