Marquette – The Laughing Whitefish Audubon Society will present “Wildlife of South Georgia, Falkland Islands, and the Southern Ocean” on Wednesday, January 13 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
Biologist Joe Kaplan will show photographs and narrate his adventures as a staff member on a Cheesman Ecological Safari in October 2009. His talk will cover the birds and seals of the region, highlighted by albatross, penguins, petrels, storm petrels, the world’s southernmost breeding passerine and the world’s only carnivorous duck.
