Marquette – The Peter White Public Library will host Dinner and a Movie on Thursday, January 14. A buffet style dinner catered by The Rubaiyat will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by a screening of “Julie and Julia” at 6:30 p.m.
“Julie and Julia” stars Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci, and tells the story of Julie (Adams), stressed and disheartened by her secretarial job, who takes on a yearlong culinary quest to prepare all 524 recipes in Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”
Tickets cost $7 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at the library circulation desk or by calling 228-9510 on or before January 13.
