The Negaunee Miners (3-0) barely squeaked by the Gladstone Braves (2-1) by a score of 28-27 in what will probably go down as the greatest comeback of all time.
Trailing two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, Negaunee knew they still had a chance to win this one and never gave up. The Miner defense knew they were going to have to contain Kyle Jensen and their offense would have to stay away from Kent King.
Negaunee did just that and were able to score three touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the last two minutes of the game to seal the victory.
A last hail mary pass by Braves quarterback, Kyle Jensen, was intercepted just as the clock ran out.
