Champion – Van Riper State Park's Explore Guide program will offer “Sea Lamprey” on Friday, June 26 at 11 a.m. at the Pavilion.
Gregg Baldwin of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Marquette will speak on invasive sea lamprey, management techniques, and more with live sea lampreys.
Sunscreen and bug repellent are recommended. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
The program is free, but a Michigan State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is required for park entry.
Campfire stories begin at 9 p.m. at the Campfire Circle. Bring s'more fixin's and join the fun for folklore and campfire stories.
