MARQUETTE, MI –
Marquette Township invites everyone to the annual Community Day at Lion’s Field on Saturday, August 3rd, from 2 PM to 9 PM. This free event is open to the public and promises a day filled with activities for all ages. The event kicks off with a static first responder display from 2 PM to 5 PM and offers open volleyball and cornhole games throughout the day.
From 3 PM to 5 PM, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including live music by Troy Graham, entertainment from the Balloon Princess, cookie decorating, bike decorating and a parade, face painting, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and free ice cream and popcorn. The festivities culminate in a live concert by The Maynards from 7 PM to 9 PM, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets for a comfortable evening.
