Business is booming in Marquette Township with new big box stores like Lowes moving in. But the rapid development has trustees concerned that if they're not careful, they may shoot future trustees in the foot.According to Township Supervisor Ray Adamini, the board is considering both a road facilities plan and a land use plan to make sure that the two don't overlap in the future.”We want to take a look at where future roads are going to go so that business don't locate where a road could have gone,” Adamini said. The board also considered a new business license ordinance to ensure that firefighters know what structural changes take place in buildings they may be called to enter in the event of a fire. Officials say any fees would be minimal as the ordinance is geared at safety and not revenue enhancement.
