This year's Labor Day Festival, sponsored by AFLCIO's Marquette Labor Council, will be held at the Cliff's Shaft Museum and Lake Bancroft Park in Ishpeming on Monday, September 5, with the parade beginning at 11 a.m. The picnic runs from noon to 4 p.m. with speakers and entertainment. The museum will be open from noon to 2 p.m. A dump truck from the mines will be on the grounds and Marqtran will provide transportation to and from Marquette and Negaunee.
