Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival Cancelled for 2020

A major annual Marquette music festival has been cancelled for this year due coronavirus concerns.  Organizers with the Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival, held in July in Marquette’s Tourist Park have decided to not hold the event this year.  They say the decision was a difficult one, but the safety of all involved was their primary concern. Organizers say with the City of Marquette indefinitely closing the park system, it was difficult to plan the event without a concise date for when it will reopen.  This year’s event would have been the 42nd annual.
