Marquette County Community Foundation and United Way of Marquette County Respond to COVID-19 March 20, 2020

COVID-19: Community Response

During this unprecedented COVID-19 environment, the Marquette County Community Foundation and United Way of Marquette County are collaborating to do our part to help ensure a swift response to the local immediate needs. We recognize the immediate and long-term impact this crisis will have on our community; in collaboration we are preparing for an extended response.

The two organizations are encouraged as we witness our partners and neighbors activating to help one another. Across Marquette County individuals, non-profits, schools, businesses and community groups are doing their part to slow the spread of the virus. The community is looking out for its neighbors and those most vulnerable.

Opportunities to Show Support

The United Way of Marquette County and the Community Foundation of Marquette County have collaborated to establish the COVID-19 Community Response Fund for people to donate to help meet immediate needs in the community related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund will support the non-profits who are serving our most vulnerable populations during this time.

The Community Foundation is partnering with other local foundations and community members to prepare for an extended response to address the near-future and long-term implications the COVID-19 pandemic will have on our area non-profits and small businesses. Details on these efforts will be forthcoming.
