2020 Downtown Marquette Farmers Market Applications Now Available March 10, 2020

MARQUETTE, MI: Vendor applications for the 2020 Downtown Marquette Farmers Market are now available. Interested farmers, producers and artisans should apply by Friday, April 3, 2020. The application is available online at www.mqtfarmersmarket.com. Vendors will be notified of acceptance via email by Tuesday, April 21. If an interested vendor need access to a computer to complete your application, Downtown Marquette Farmers Market invites you to the MDDA Office located at 337 W. Washington St. on Wednesdays from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. during the open application period. A laptop and assistance from the Market Manager will be provided. While an appointment is not required, a heads up is much appreciated. New for this season, the market will no longer issue Market Money. This green paper money was previously offered to market customers as a way to help vendors accept credit card payments. The market will continue to accept Market Money from previous seasons through the end of the 2020 season. Vendors are encouraged to accept credit and debit cards, though it is not required. Be sure to stock up on cash before heading over! Food assistance programs such as SNAP, Hoop Houses for Health and WIC will continue to be accepted. The market is also looking for musicians and volunteers during the market season. Any interested parties should apply at www.mqtfarmersmarket.com and click the “participate” tab. The 2020 Downtown Marquette Farmers Market will feature three markets: the Saturday Morning Market, Wednesday Evening Market and the Late Fall Market. All markets will be held at the Marquette Commons located at 112 South Third Street. The market dates are as follows: Saturday Market Saturdays, May 16 – October 31 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Wednesday Market Wednesdays, June 17 – September 30 5 p.m. -7 p.m. Late Fall Market Saturdays, November 7 – December 19 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market is operated by the Marquette Downtown Development Authority.
