The City of Marquette Fire Department will be offering the following Red
Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Certification and Recertification courses.
There is no fee for these courses. (This is not a swimming class; all
candidates must be proficient swimmers and comfortable in the water.)
2020 WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSE
April 18, 19, 25, 26 8:00am-5:00pm
There are online learning components that must be completed prior to pool
sessions. Students must attend and pass all four classes to become
certified. REGISTER BY 04/09/2020
2020 WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD RECERTIFICATION COURSE
April 25th 9:30am-5:00pm and April 26th 8:00am-5:00pm
Students must have an active certification card and attend and pass both
classes to become certified. REGISTER BY 04/17/2020

The City of Marquette is seeking qualified individuals to serve as
waterfront lifeguards for the 2020 summer beach season (Memorial Day
through Labor Day). This position requires the employee to be at least 16
years old and to be Waterfront Lifeguard certified.
