Marquette, MI – Travel Marquette (Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau) welcomes Art Speaks: A Marquette Poets Circle Interactive Display, an exhibit of art and writings by local authors throughout April.
Each artwork is labelled with a QR code. Viewers can hear and see the authors online by scanning the QR code with a mobile phone.
Participating authors include Martin Achatz, 2019 U.P. Poet Laureate, Esther Ayers, Milton Bates, A. Lynn Blumer, Lynn Domina, Amber Edmondson, Kathleen M. Heideman, John Hilden, Gala Malherbe, Dr. Beverly Matherne, Janeen Rastall, Richard Rastall, Christine Saari, Alex D. Tadder and John Taylor.
The public is invited to a reception and reading by the authors on Friday, April 5th from 5 to 7 pm. To learn more visit the event page. Open 9:00am-5:00pm weekdays, the bureau encourages local artists to apply online for the opportunity to display their work on a monthly basis beginning in July.
