St. Michael Parish Men’s Day of Reflection February 9th

Marquette, MI – Following up on last year’s event that brought nearly 50 men together, St. Michael Catholic Parish of Marquette will again host a Men’s Day of Reflection on Saturday, February 9. All men from across the Upper Peninsula, regardless of religious affiliation, are invited to attend and encouraged to bring a friend.

Dominick Albano will make a repeat appearance to address the question, “Why Me?” God chose St. Joseph to raise Jesus. And yet, the Bible tells us so little about him. In fact, the Bible doesn’t even record him ever saying a word. What made God choose him? What would you do if God chose you to raise his son? Truth is, God has chosen you. Knowing His mission and fulfilling it is your purpose in this life.

At this Men’s Day of Reflection, participants will explore what it means to be called by God, how they can respond to that call, and what characteristics of St. Joseph made him the perfect man to raise God’s son.

The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET with a half-hour for registration and a continental breakfast. It will conclude at 3:30 p.m. ET with the opportunity to talk or pray privately with Albano. Participants are invited to stay for 4:00 Mass in the church.

The cost for the Men’s Day of Reflection is $10, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The event is partially funded by a grant from Legacy of Faith, an endowment fund of the Upper Peninsula Catholic Foundation.

Registrations are due by Tuesday, February 5, and can be made by calling the St. Michael Parish office at 906-228-8180 or by emailing: secretary@stmichaelmqt.org.

Dominick Albano is a Catholic speaker, writer, and thought leader. He has also worked as a campus minister, religion teacher, youth minister, pastoral associate, and adult faith formation director. He served for five years as executive director of Arise Missions, a ministry he co-founded, which became the innovative leader in the new evangelization in the Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Albano was chosen by Matthew Kelly as a speaker for Dynamic Catholic. He has been featured in Best Lent Ever, Best Advent Ever, and is one of the main presenters for Dynamic Catholic’s new marriage preparation program, Better Together.

Living in the Cincinnati area with his wife and four young sons, he works to renew parishes, evangelize, and create disciples. He spends his days traveling around the country to speak, writing, consulting with parishes on parish renewal, and coaching his son’s baseball team.
