Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park – Everyone Can Write Poetry – August 12

Ontonagon, MI – Explore poetry as song and story-telling before learning how some major poets can be used as models for writing your own poems. Cost of class is $38.00. You will use park surroundings as writing prompts.The class will highlight Native American (Joy Harjo), Michigan (Jim Harrison) and Nature poets. Bring a notebook, laptop or tablet for writing. The Folk School does not have Wi-Fi. Please bring a lunch and a beverage.

Writers of all ages, 12 and older, are welcome. Grandparents, bring your grandchildren! 16 spaces available; 4 students needed to hold the class. Fees for classes cancelled after the registration deadline will not be refunded. Registration deadline is Saturday, August 5, 2017.
