Marenisco, MI – Join us at Lake Gogebic State Park to celebrate traditional Finnish and Upper Peninsula cultures! This is a gathering of families rooted in the Copper Country region of the U.P., but all are welcome to come and experience the culture and fun! Finn Fest is a family-focused weekend that has a long history in the park. Campers can expect the campground to be busy with children and families doing a variety of activities of their own choosing that are facilitated by the park. Activities include sing-a-longs, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, kayaking and outdoor games. Event may be cancelled due to rain or hazardous weather conditions.
This event is free with your Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport and the public is welcome. A Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport is required for entry into Lake Gogebic State Park. If you do not have a Recreation Passport, one can be purchased at the park. For more information about the park or the event, call (906) 842-3341 or visit www.michigan.gov/lakegogebic.
