Marquette, MI – Forsyth Township, West End Transfer Station, Skandia West Branch Transfer Station, Sands Township, and the City of Marquette have received the 2018 Scrap Tire Cleanup Grant from the MDEQ. They have all partnered with the Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority.
Individuals may bring their personal tires to these collections. Car and truck tires that are 22.5 inches in diameter or less (with or without rims) will be accepted. It is free to dispose of these tires at the collections. Larger tires, tractor tires and tires on split rims will not be accepted at these collections. West End Transfer Station Located in West Ishpeming (The north side of U.S. 41 west of Ishpeming just west of the DNR field station).

Skandia West Branch Transfer Station U.S. Hwy 41 and Carlshend Rd.
JULY
Wednesday, July 25, 2018: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Sands Township Transfer Station 3 ½ miles south of the County Road 480 /M553 Crossroads on Flodin Road. It is on the East side of State Highway M553 and visible from the road
AUGUST
Wednesday, August 1, 2018: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
