A “Softies Hike,” sponsored by the North Country Trail Hikers, will begin on Friday, May 4 at Copper Peak, north of Bessemer along the Black River with its many waterfalls. Saturday, May 5, the hike will be overland to the Presque Isle River and to Lake Superior. Sunday, May 6 morning hike will be in the Porcupine Mountains.
