Marquette, Mi.– The Peter White Public Library is showing a matinee movie of “Loving Vincent” in the Business Reference Room, on the top floor of the Library, this Wednesday, May 2, at 12:30 p.m.
As part of the Library’s “Your Mind Matters” series, the matinee of “Loving Vincent” will be shown free to the public! Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.
About the Film:
A year after Van Gogh’s death, Armand is asked by his postmaster father to find a recipient for the artist’s final letter to his late brother. In his attempts to deliver the letter and after meeting many of Van Gogh’s acquaintances, Armand becomes caught up in the artist’s tragic life which was marked by anxiety and depression. Featuring the voices of Douglas Booth, Jerome Flynn, and Robert Gulaczyk, this animated biography is rated PG-13 and runs 94 minutes. It won the 2017 European Animated Feature Film and received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for best-animated film.
