The “Wild UP Jamboree” will be held on Thursday, August 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. on the green between VanAntwerp and Magers Halls on the campus of NMU in Marquette. A benefit concert will take place to raise awareness and support for the preservation of the Upper Peninsula. The free event is part of NMU's Welcome Week, a welcome by non-students. All ages are welcome. Bands will include The Blue Superiors, Slipt, the Tom Laverty Trio, and GrassMonkey.
