Scouts Invited to Tackle Iron Belle Challenge – June 2

Marquette, Mi.– The Department of Natural Resources is asking Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts to join in this year’s Iron Belle Challenge June 2, along any part of Michigan’s showcase Iron Belle Trail.

More than 25,000! That’s how many miles that Scouts in Michigan have hiked in the previous years. The DNR is asking Scouts across the state to lace up their boots, grab their water bottles, and hit the trails to drive that number even higher for this year’s challenge June 2 (National Trails Day).

All Scouting participants will receive commemorative patches.

Visit michigan.gov/dnrscouting or contact Ray Rustem at 517-284-6070.
