The Dr. Merv Specht Paddle for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, will be held on Saturday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT at Vagabond Park and the islands, just west of Iron Mountain on U.S. 2. There will be canoeing and kayaking for all ages including a scavenger hunt, relays, and other activities. Three kayaks will be given away in a raffle. The latest kayaks will be available for demo.
