“Shield of Steel” Iron Ore and the Arsenal of Democracy” a public symposium observing Michigan's human and industrial contributions during World War II will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., July 14 and 15 at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum, 73 Forge Road in Negaunee.
