Gwinn, Mi. – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a tour of Superior Extrusion’s plant on Tuesday, April 10 from 1 to 4 at K.I. Sawyer in Gwinn. Attendees will meet at the northwest corner of the Econo Foods parking lot in Marquette to load the bus that will take them to Superior Extrusion.
Attendees will see the aluminum extrusion process, which Plant Manager Dennis Boyle describes as “two gigantic Play-Doh-type machines.” Those attending are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear as they will walk and stand during the tour. Protective gear will be provided.
The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members, plus a $1 bus driver fee. Register by Tuesday, April 3, by calling 227-2979. Call Carole Bard at 228-9367 for more information.
