Marquette – University of Wisconsin physics professor Jim Madsen will present “The IceCube Project: A New View of the Universe from the South Pole” on Tuesday, September 14 at 7 p.m. in West Science Room 2904 at Northern Michigan University.
The IceCube Project is the single largest detector ever built and is the product of a collaboration of more than 250 scientists. When complete, the project will use a cubic kilometer of ice and a companion surface array to look for particles from outer space.
