Broomsticks will fly from downtown light posts during Downtown Marquette Harry Potter Party Pizzazz in conjunction with the release of the 7th and final Harry Potter book on July 21. There will be a broom workshop on Monday, July 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center in the Peter White Library. Bring your own straw broom or or bring twigs to glue to a broom handle from the MAAC to create your own. You may decorate your broom with fabric, ribbons, paint, glitter, etc. You may also decorate your broom at home and bring it to the Arts and Culture Center by Monday, July 9.
