The free workshop “Tools for Independence” will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, in the Community Room at Peter White Public Library in Marquette. Participants may attend any or all workshop sessions. Lunch will be provided. Sessions include: Assistive Devices Demonstration Program, Hearing Assistive Technology,and Assistive Technology and Cognitive Disabilities. Marquette County Sheriff Michael Lovelace will present a program on the Marquette County Life Tracker Program’s Rapid Recovery program, which allows law enforcement agencies to electronically track individuals who wander. This event is co-sponsored by the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition and Superior Alliance for Independent Living are co-sponsors of the workshop.
