Marquette – A National Night Out event will be held on Saturday, August 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the courtyard of the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum in Marquette.
Featured will be food, music, dancing and children's activities. Bring a dish to pass, a beverage and table setting.
Children may make recycled art flowers, learn about pollinators, and make scarecrows with museum staff. Coffee will be provided for the adults.
This day also kicks off the two-week Eat Local Challenge, asking the community to incorporate as much locally produced food as possible into their diets. Bring copies of recipes to share that feature local food.
