Calumet – The Dinner and Movie Series will feature the Irish village comedy “Waking Ned Devine” on Friday, March 16 beginning with dinner at 6 p.m. at Calumet Theatre, 340 Sixth Street in Calumet. The movie will begin at 7:15 p.m.
Someone in the village of Tullymore (pop. 53) has won the Lottery worth 7 million pounds. But because the winner is dead, the money will go back. A plot is hatched to fool the Dublin official and share the prize with the whole town. Roger Ebert says that “Waking Ned Devine” takes its place beside “Local Hero” and “The Full Monty.”
The Irish Buffet will be catered by the Miscowaubik Club. Show off your Irish spirit by wearing green and you’ll have a chance to win a ticket for a future Theatre performance!
Dinner and movie tickets are $22; dinner only tickets are $18; movie only tickets are $7. Reservations for dinner must be made by Thursday, March 15.
