Marquette – A presentation on “Lessons Learned: Recovering the Light of the Soul After the Totalitarian Scourge” will be offered by Daniel Mahoney, political science professor at College of the Holy Cross, on Tuesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. in 1311 Jamrich Hall at Northern Michigan University.
He will speak about reason, faith and political and religious freedom. This free presentation will include a discussion period after the lecture.
Mahoney’s talk is presented by the Center for Academic and Intellectual Freedom as part of its speaker series, in cooperation with NMU’s English department and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. The aim of the series is to address squarely topics that inevitably generate interest on many college campuses today, with the hope of elevating the discourse by fostering viewpoint diversity and tolerance for a range of responsible opinion.
