An opening reception for a four-week exhibit of selected works from the 2006 International Asian Sumi-E Painting Contest and Touring Exhbition will be held on Friday, October 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Finlandia University Gallery, 435 Quincy Street in Hancock. Chinese ink brush painting from Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S. were selected from more than 5,000 entries.
