“Independent Intervention: Breaking Silence,” an award-winning documentary about the U.S. media coverage of the war in Iraq, will be shown on Tuesday, September 25 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of The Peter White Public Library in Marquette. The 2006 film focuses on the human costs of war and contrasts the mass media's coverage of the invasion of Iraq with independent reports of the brutal realities on the ground.
