Marquette – The YMCA of Marquette County is offering college bound/college women, adults and mother-daughter duos a self-defense program on Thursday, February 19 and Friday, February, 20 from 8 to 9:30 p.m.each evening.
This two day program will provide information on personal protection, rape prevention and home security, including practice time using physical techniques.
The core curriculum will be presented the first night and repetition and reinforcement of physical techniques the second night. The content is designed for females ages 15 and up and is taught by Master Joyce Tredeau, 5th Degree Black Belt.
Cost for this program is $25 for YMCA members and $30 for non-members. Pre registration by Tuesday, February 17 is required.
