The final in a series of Department of Environmental Quality and Department of Natural Resources Public Hearings in the U.P. will be held on Thursday, September 13 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at the West Branch Community Center, 253-299 Avenue A, KI Sawyer. The focus will be on the Kennecott Eagle Project Permit Application. This is an opportunity for citizens to voice their support and/or concerns for Kennecott's proposed mine on the Yellow Dog Plains, northwest of Marquette, near Big Bay.
