Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a presentation on Esperanto, the worldwide language, on Tuesday, November 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Shiras Room at Peter White Public Library.
In 1887, L. L. Zamenhof, a Polish doctor, created the language for the purpose of breaking down barriers between different ethnic groups. Esperanto expert Sheila Devlin will give a presentation about the language and its use today.
