Marquette – The 2017 Halloween Spectacle will be held on Saturday, October 28 in downtown Marquette. A special opening procession will take place at 6 p.m. on the 100 block of West Washington Street directly following the downtown trick or treating. The sidewalk procession will travel down Washington Street to Harlow Park.
An alchemy of pageantry, music, theater, and dance will ignite the 600 block of West Bluff Street, behind Harlow Park, between North Seventh and Morgan Streets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Harlow Park provides the perfect backdrop for this year’s Spectacle, equipped with built-in hillside “bleachers”. Bring a blanket or tarp for your seat at the performance.
This year’s theme is the four elements. Don your costume and join the queens of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. For community members wishing to participate as a volunteer or performer, please contact the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center at 906-228-0472 or email arts-culture@marquettemi.gov. The Spectacle is free and open to all.
