L’Anse – UPCAP’s Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program will offer a free “Welcome to Medicare” seminar on Tuesday, August 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Conference Room at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse.
The seminar is targeted towards folks that will be eligible for Medicare sometime within the next six months. Learn the basics of Medicare, and discuss what folks should be thinking about when making decisions on their Medicare choices. Information about programs that may be available to help pay out-of-pocket Medicare costs will also be discussed.
There is no charge to attend this informational event and a helpful workbook will be provided to each participant. Registration is required by calling 1-800-803-7174, or by simply dialing 2-1-1 and indicating your wish to register for the “Welcome to Medicare” event in L’Anse on August 8.
