Calendar – Community – Camp Hiawatha Tour and Doc Jewel Pavilion Re-dedication – July 14

Munising – Boy Scout Camp Hiawatha’s 50 Year Anniversary Celebration will offer a tour of the camp on Friday, July 14 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The camp is at E6350 Doe Lake Road, Munising.

Tours are free, but you must sign in when you get to the camp. Lunch with the camp staff will be offered at noon for $6 and supper with the whole camp will be offered at 5:54 p.m. for $7.

A re-dedication of the Camp Hiawatha Doc Jewel Pavilion will take place at 12:45 p.m. Dr. Robert Albert Jewel passed away at the age of 93 in December of 2015. He dedicated many decades to Camp Hiawatha and many high quality campsites at Camp Hiawatha are the result of his long and consistent leadership.
