Marquette, MI – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer an informational tour of Lambros and LaBonte Parks, along with the accessible kayak launch. Jon Swenson, assistant director of the Marquette Parks and Recreation Department, will lead the program from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 12 (rain date July 13).
Participants will meet at Clark Lambros Beach Park on N. Lakeshore Blvd. by the Dead River to learn about Marquette’s newest park. They will venture across the street, where Allen Beauchamp will demonstrate the kayak launch, accessing his kayak from his wheelchair. The final stop will be LaBonte Park, a pocket park with a waterfall.
