Marquette – All Hands On Deck, an event aimed to call attention to need for legislation, regulations, funding to sustain health of world’s largest surface fresh water resource, will be held on Monday, July 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. at McCarty’s Cove on Lakeshore Drive in Marquette.
At 10 a.m. E.D.T communities in the U.S. Great Lakes Basin will link a hand and host a boat flag for one hour, by water on behalf of water to raise awareness of the need to protect the lakes everyone loves. Whether you join an official handhold or not, people are encouraged to get to the water with family and friends and/or reflect on what the Great Lakes means to you.
From 11 a.m to 1 p.m. volunteers will perform a clean-up service action along Marquette’s beaches and bike path.
