Marquette – DocuMonday will offer a screening of the 2016 documentary “The Eagle Huntress” on Monday, June 5 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Set on the Mongolian steppes, the documentary tells the story of how 13 year-old Aisholpan trains to become the first female in 12 generations to become an eagle huntress. While capturing her personal journey, this coming of age story also addresses issues of gender, nature, and modernity. Rated G, the film runs 1 hour 27 minutes.
