Negaunee – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a presentation about the Oregon Trail on Wednesday, May 3 from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center, 410 Jackson Street in Negaunee. There will also be an optional lunch at 11 a.m.
Researcher and author Robert Dobson, who has traveled the Oregon Trail four times, will lead the presentation. He will share diary excerpts, interactions with Native Americans, maps and photos of wagons and equipment, the hardships of the trail itself and the influence of weather and disease.
