Calendar – Films/Documentaries – DocuMonday to Screen “Tarpon” – Apr. 3

Marquette – DocuMonday will offer a free screening of the film “Tarpon” on Monday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Starring Richard Brautigan, Jimmy Buffett, and Jim Harrison, this first of the modern fishing films was shot in the wild panorama of 1970s Key West, featuring treasure hunters, smugglers, hippies, and eccentrics. This documentary will be shown in memory of writer and Michigan native, Jim Harrison, by special permission of the filmmaker’s family.
