Negaunee – The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council and the Historic Vista Theater will hold auditions for “Once Upon a Mattress” on Monday, April 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 4 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center, 410 Jackson Street in Negaunee. Call backs will be on April 4 at 7 p.m.
The musical is the re-telling of the classic tale of “The Princess and the Pea.” Adults auditioning should come prepared with a 1 minute song, 1 minute comedic monologue, and dancing shoes. A pianist will be provided. Ages 7 and up are welcome to audition. Main roles are for adults with some children’s parts added in. Children between ages 7 and 12 do not need to prepare a song or monologue, but may if they like. They will be given something to sing/say at the audition.
