Calendar – Films/Documentaries – Modern Classics to Screen “The King’s Speech” – Jan. 26

Marquette – Modern Classics will offer a free screening of “The King’s Speech” on Thursday, January 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Starring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, and Helena Bonham Carter, the film is the story of King George VI of the United Kingdom, his improptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worth of it.

“The King’s Speech” was released in 2010, is rated R and runs for 118 minutes. There is no admission charge. For more information, go to www.pwpl.info.
