Calendar – Health – “Diabesity: The Unabated Epidemic of Diabetes and Obesity” Presentation – Nov. 10

Marquette – A “Your Health” presentation titled “Diabesity: The Unabated Epidemic of Diabetes and Obesity,” with featured presenter Dr. Saleh Aldasouqi, will be offered on Thursday, November 10 at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall at Northern Michigan University.

Dr. Saleh Aldasouqi is chief of the endocrinology division at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Obesity is one of the biggest predictors of type 2 diabetes and nearly 90 percent of type 2 diabetics are obese or overweight. Aldasouqi will discuss what can be done to prevent and treat “diabesity.”
