Marquette, MI – Peter White Public Library will be hosting “Winter Solstice Art and Evergreen” this holiday season. Combining the previous events of “Winter Charm” and “Winter Wonderland Walk”. Winter-themed art exhibits will be on display in both the Deo Gallery and Huron Mountain Club Gallery as well as themed trees decorated by community members throughout the library. In addition, PWPL will also host the Pierce Holiday Village. The art exhibit, previously known as “Winter Charm”, is sponsored by the Lake Superior Art Association. All members of the community are invited to submit a winter-themed piece of art for display on November 29, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
No late entries will be accepted. Artists may enter one piece of original artwork (no AI) and all 2-D artwork must be gallery-hanging ready. 3-D pieces are also accepted. Intake forms are available online
at lakesuperiorartassociation.org or may be picked up at Peter White Public Library Circulation Desk.
Art must be picked up on January 31, 2026 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
The decorated trees, formerly known as the “Winter Wonderland Walk”, are managed by Peter White Public Library. Tree registration is open and space is limited. The deadline to register your tree is November 7, 2025, at www.pwpl.info or by calling Marty Achatz at 906- 226-4322. Tree decoration must be completed by December 5, 2025. Join us on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 6–8 pm for an “Evening of Art and Evergreen”. Enjoy an artist reception with refreshments, stroll through the winter tree walk, challenge yourself to a scavenger hunt, view the holiday village, and take in the sounds of the season as we welcome winter. “Winter Solstice Art and Evergreen” is sponsored by Lake Superior Art Association and Friends of the Peter White Public Library
