Marquette – “How to Think Like an Agate” will be presented on Wednesday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marquette Regional History Center on Spring Street in Marquette.
Karen “Agatelady” Brzys from the Gitche Gumee Agate and History Museum, and author of “Agates Inside Out and Understanding and Finding Agates,” will talk about the geologic history of the U.P. and describe how agates are formed. Learn hunting tips for finding agates. A book signing and specimen sale will follow the talk. Bring in a specimen for identification.
