Marquette – Tim Wise, one the most prominent anti-racist writers and educators in the United States, will be speaking on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.
Speaking at over 1000 college campuses, he was named one of “25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World.” Along with writing many books and essays, Wise has been featured in several documentaries, including the 2013 Media Education Foundation release, “White Like Me: Race, Racism, and White Privilege in America.”
The event is free for students with an NMU ID and $2 for the general public. This event is sponsored by NMU’s Platform Personalities and the Student Activity Fee.
